Presenting The CORNER $TORE HERO of the week!
Congratulations to “The House that Ruth Built” Yankee Stadium and The “Amazin’s” Shea Stadium. Both stadiums will be celebrating their final year of action as the Yankees and Mets move on to more modern pastures right next door. Both stadiums hold years of memories. Shea was built in 64′ and has some great memories to go with it. The Pope did his thing there. The Beatles and Rolling Stones did their thing there too. The Mets contributed with two miraculous World Championships and was host to the first game in New York after the 9/11 attacks. Yankee Stadium is a monster in history. By end of season the stadium would have played host to three different popes, Countless national and international musical acts, 26 championships, Boxing Champs, Parties, celebrities, and an endless list of magical moments provided by the greats such as Mantle, DiMaggio, Gehrig, Jeter, Jackson, Maris, And Ruth. NYC is losing two great symbols this year and getting two new ones. Lets make some new memories…
Farewell to you both and have a glorious final season. May you enjoy your final days in New York City and in the memories of millions and millions of fans.

Remy Ma, formally of Terror Squad, has been found guilty yesterday in a Manhattan courtroom. She was found guilty on four charges, including assault in the first degree, criminal possession of a weapon and attempted coercion. She is facing up to 25 years in jail. This all stems from an incident last year in the Meat Packing District of Manhattan where Remy Ma was said to have shot her one time friend thinking that he robbed her for $3000. A sentencing day has not been confirmed yet.
We do know this though kids, guns are not a toy! Stay away from rappers with guns!

Tupac and Biggie investigation in doubt?!?!

The newly installed editor of The Los Angeles Times, Russ Stanton, opened an investigation today into a report linking Sean Combs to the shooting of Tupac Shakur at a Manhattan recording studio in 1994.

“Questions have been raised about the authenticity of documents that we relied on for a story on the assault of Tupac Shakur in New York,” Mr. Stanton said today. “We are taking this very seriously and have begun our own investigation.”

Who knows what will come out of this. To much doubt around here. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a giant ingenious marketing scheme by Puffy to further his plans for world domination! Just playing. We hope the truth is revealed soon so this no longer can torment us or them from beyond the grave. Speaking of that, did anybody catch Biggie in that South Park episode?! Straight up jokes! Peace

Starting up a new thing here at the corner. Each week we will chose someone who is doing or has done something heroic or just straight up dope. This week we have chosen the verbal assassin and presidential candidate Barack Obama. He delivered what had to be one of the sickest speeches layed upon all haters and naysayers. Just peep.
